A
Smorgasbord of project choices
Due Date:
Friday, March 10th
Note: Most projects will be done
in small groups. Maximum
of four per group.
- Make an 60 second live video advertisement for a new product
at a fast-food restaurant of your creation. (script/rehearsals required)
- Create
a new menu for the JMS Cafeteria and make a 60 second live video PSA
promoting about the changes. (menu
in monthly calendar format; script
required)
- Create
a new fast-food restaurant and its menu and make a flash animation
computer ad (can be solo; requires previous Flash experience
needed)
- Create
a 60 second live video advertisement for a new weight-loss drug, using
existing drug ads as a template (script/rehearsals
required)
- Create
and perform a series of new fast food restaurant "jingles"
(minimum three) for an invented fast-food chain and perform them before in
class. (lyrics of three jingles required; music & lyrics can be in any
musical genre/style)
- Create
a new symbol/spokesperson for a newly invented fast food restaurant, introduce this character in a 60 second
live video commercial. (script/rehearsals required)
- Make
figurines or other model forms of a new symbol/spokesperson of a newly
invented fast food restaurant and a written "biography" of the
character (artwork/costuming &
written "biography" required)
- Do a
monetary analysis of gross income Jefferson
collects via the soda machines and snack bar, as well as the net income
left over as pure profit. Also,
where does the money go? (Submit a
one-slide Excel/PowerPoint presentation in class outlining the
numbers; this assignment requires
discussions with JMS Administration;
this assignment can be solo)
- Talk
with JMS Administration and others on ways to change the Jefferson
cafeteria menu and overall nutritional situation here at JMS (oral report in class; this assignment can be solo)
Projects will be performed live in class on Friday, March 10th. Students/groups with sufficient video editing
skills can produce videotaped versions, but must have them ready for screening
on the 10th.
