Writing Some Similes

Write a 500 word (minimum) essay/story on a topic of your choosing. Be sure to use at least three similes per written page, and put the simile in bold. You’ll need a minimum of six similes in your paper. Those obsessive-compulsive types who wish may plop one or two extras in there.

For example:

The bleeding, dying dragon limped off to its final resting place like the Boston Red Sox after the Yankees got through with them this past weekend.

The rough draft for this assignment is due at the BEGINNING OF CLASS ON THURSDAY. We will peer edit and revise during class on that day. The final, publication-ready document is due at the END OF CLASS ON THURSDAY.
