Weekly Focus #4:     “Remembrances”

Write a 750 word piece using one of the following as an idea for the work:

1.      Think back and write about an incident that happened when you were seven years old, but from the perspective and wisdom of today.  Be sure to get beyond mere plot by providing context and local color to your story.

2.      Continue writing a multi-part story that you have already started through these Weekly Foci.

3.      Work on some newfangled story idea that you’ve had since we last had a Weekly Focus.

What you’re being graded on:

1.      As a writer are you showing “powers of observation”?

2.      Is your work publication ready?

3.      Are you including context and local color into your work?

Remember:  Grading for these second quarter pieces will be a bit more strict than first quarter ones.
